A Trip to the Car Showroom…
I was reading BMW's blog on her trip to the car workshop, which made me burst into laughters. Babe, I am not laughing at you ah, I'm laughing with you! Hehe. I so can relate to it!!
This morning, on my way to work, I decided to stop by a car showroom to have a look at this particular car.
Me: I want to ask you yeah. What's the After Sales Service like?
(I actually do not know what that is. I've heard my friends mentioning it so i thought, tanya sajalah!)
SM: What do you mean?
Me: Emm. Servicing. That sort of thing.
(Here, I was assuming that cars need servicing at some point kan.)
SM: Okay. You need to send your car for servicing after 1000km, 2000km and 8000km
(or something like that! haha!)
Me: Oh, really? Banyak jua ah. How much will that cost me?
(yes, the banker and economist inside me need to know this!)
SM: Labour charge is $25.
Me: Is that all I have to pay?
SM: No, no. Actually there will be no labour charge for the first 3 servicings. You will only have to pay for the oil.
Me: Oil? What sort of oil? Petrolkah?
SM: No. Am-oil, (sumthing) oil, that sort of thing.
Me: Huh? Apakan tu? What does it do?
SM: For your engine.
(At this point, the salesman just couldnt hold his laughs anymore. CHETS.)
Lesson learnt. If you don't know anything, jangan banyak tanya.
I actually didn't want to look like a lady who does not know anything about cars. Macam sibanarlah, like that. But i think it came out all wrong. They now know i'm a ditz. PSFT.
I'm going to now go google on everything about cars and join all the forums on cars.
Camera Phones
…So much for my first post! I think I posted a lengthy one last night but somehow, it has decided to disappear on me.
if you were wondering why I decide to start blogging again- well, you don’t need to be Einstein to figure it out. I miss blogging! and also, something my friends said during our monthly dinner over the weekend. they were talking about how people tend to blog less when they have a boyfriend, let alone a husband- and they looked at me. talked about being rude. lol.
so yes, i have finally succumbed to *cough* pressure.
also, i thought that i would probably should start taking more pictures and blog around it. only that, i always seem to forget that my phone now has a camera and that, i also my digicam is always in my bag. chets. must be the age.
speaking of phones with cameras. last year, whilst preparing for the balasan for my wedding, i decided to buy him a phone. knowing how picky he is, i asked him what kind of phone he likes. he was actually eye-ing on this new nokia phone, which was not out yet that time. however, the phone is now out. my brother was asking me if i still wanted to get it for him. of course, i said no. heh. which was good because they were out of it anyway. turned out the shops ran out of it in ONE day!
yes. apparently (hah! a certain BB journalist’s favourite word!) this well-known communication shop brought in 10-15 and all gone in one day! and this phone costs over $1000!
that is one thing that I do not understand- how some people are willing to pay a lot of money for a phone that not only will go obsolete in 3 months but also, whose price will plummet in 2 weeks! mind boggling, i’d say! i, myself, have never bought a phone for a looong time, let alone since i started working. i was using the same phone for 3 years before my uncle gave me a new phone for my wedding.
