Maisara
For lack of things to say or write, I’m going to post few pictures of my little niece.
She has found her nenek’s stash of candies!
She now wants her Tua’s digicam too!

She has taken control of her Tua’s TV, even her Tua Boy’s attempt to distract her didn’t work!
Heh. Can you tell, I’ve only recently started to learn how to post pics. Sakai much
First…
It is my first Hari Raya as a wife and hence, it is my first Hari Raya with two sets of families. Oh, it is also my first Hari Raya ‘away from home’.
No silly, I am not overseas. I was at my in-laws for the morning of Hari Raya. For years and years, my parents are the first one I ask for forgiveness, this year its my husband. I did salam my parents the day before raya, before I left for Jerudong (but that didn’t really count- alum raya!) and it almost reduced me to tears.
The morning tahlil at my in-laws started a bit late and hence, everything was pushed forward. I missed the gathering at my maternal grandparents’ and went straight to my paternal grandparents. We then rushed to Jerudong to my Tua’s place and then rushed again to Delima, for the husband’s grandparents house. I didn’t want to leave my maternal grandparents’ till malam so we rushed back to Bunut again. By 3pm we reached Jerudong and were knackered. We slept it off for awhile before more rayas in the evening to nini-nini’s places.
The husband & I vowed that we will have a better plan next year. We could not blame each other as it’s a first! Hehe. However, it is very much eventful and we are enjoying it immensely. Today will be a little bit more raya in the morning before an open house at the in-laws at lunch.
Friends & relatives are welcome to our open house in Bunut from 7pm onwards tomorrow. The husband is working during the day so I am choosing to laze around and watch K-drama during the day. Hehe.
Short post. Enjoy your Hari Raya. Drive safe. Get Fat. Tee-hee.
Cranky & Stressed People
Lack of better things to do, the husband & I decided to go out after Zuhur today. Okay, that’s a lie. I needed to get my baju off my tailor and the husband needs to buy batteries for his flash.
Last night, i gave my tailor a call to enquire about my baju, which she had agreed (albeit unable to promise if she could actually do it) to take in. She then told me that she doesn’t have time to do it. I told her that it was fine and I would pick up in the morning. She said to give her a call first. Okay, lah ah.
This morning I woke up early and gave her a call. She said, ‘come after one hour, we will do it for you’. Senangnya rasa hati. Main game tah ku dulu. Meliat cerita korea tah ku dulu. Lepas zuhur baru kami bejalan and we went there first. Sekali apanah?
Me: Hi Aunt.
Tailor: Aiya. I inda sampat buat lah your baju.
Me: Eh? Kenapa aunt cakap datang in one hour, you want to do first. If cannot do, you tell me lah tadi. I take early morning.
Tailor. Aiya. So sorry lah ah. I so busy lah.
Antam tia. Its not like I did not give her an option. Ia jua nya cakap ia kan men-alter. Psft.
Oh, we then went to Hua Ho Tanjung Bunut and the place reminded me so much of mamalobengs! Bush, we were actually looking at frames (for our wedding pictures yang alum berambil dari kadai) but I couldn’t find the pilipinas salesgirl around the area. Are you sure you didn’t bash her up? Haha.
Anyways, that is not my point. The husband bought some stationeries (don’t ask why. orang sibuk membali barnag raya, kami membali fail sama paper puncher) and batteries, of course, the latter was next to the counter. Tapi counternya tutup. So we went to the next counter, which was my the manchester. Boleh diurang turned us away!!
Kawan Cashier: Excuse me. Can you go to the other counter *points at the 1st counter*
Us: Its close (woah. marah kami ah. alum apa2.)
Cashier & Kawan: mumbles in tagalog (bush, masih lagi nada subtitle. alum diurang tukar system diurang kali.)
Kawan Cashier: By the electrical section sir, can you please go to that counter (whilst putting down the ‘close counter’ sign)
Us: ITS CLOSE!
Cashier & Kawan: mumbles in tagalog AGAIN.
Me to husband: Jangan mau kalah sayang. Berdiri tani sini. Peduli ia.
Kawan Cashier: Do you mind waiting for awhile sir? She (points to the cashier) needs to go to the toilet.
Adakahhhh? Suruh orang tunggu so that she can go to the toilet. Entah lah ah. Ia menahan dari pagi pakah. If the other counter was open, okay lah ah, I wouldn’t mind so much.
Me: *pasang mua sasak* Can we pay downstairs?
Kawan Cashier: Yes, yes. You pay downstairs.
So, yes. We paid arah supermarketnya after passing through the security majiggy on 1st floor. Baik saja inda berbunyi. Mun inda I’ll be the first one to balangkan file arah cashier atu. Ceh. Marah aku ah.
I reckon everyone is just so stressed with the hari raya crowd, although we thought the crowd was not so bad. Most ATM machines are empty now- of money and people. Even the traffic was not so bad today. We did avoid Gadong though.
To shopkeepers out there, don’t play cranky on your customers. Diurang mau membali- bukannya inda membayar. Mun inda mau kraja, ramai lagi orang mencari kraja.
I’ve had my share of rude customers, one of which reduced me to tears after meeting him. However, I am paid to do so and all I could do was just smile and say, ‘Yes, I understand….’ After that, blakang punya cerita lah ah. Heh. But this deserves a whole other post another time.
A raya post tomorrow
Locked out.
Few weeks ago, the company I worked for (well, it has been kind of obvious lah ah) decided to change the phone system in a way that we now have 4 digits extension instead of 3 digits by adding a 2 in the front. On the first day of the change, I believed that there was something wrong with my phone as I couldn’t call any of my colleagues but could only receive calls.
When I first received a call that morning, I actually said, ‘yaay. my phone is now working.’ but when I couldn’t call out I thought- ‘masuk kali saja mau ni. karangtah ku call IT Helpdesk’.
Anyways, today I went straight home after work as I could not bear the traffic everywhere- plus I didn’t have anything to buy juakan. I was on the phone with a girlfriend when I reached home and we were talking about the people traffic in the banking hall earlier, when I keyed in the pin or password or whatever you call it at the door. I COULDN’T GET IN.
I, then thought, ‘biartia eh, lalu pintu dapur saja ku’. Tapinya pintu dapur berkunci. By that time I was off the phone and pretty much panicking- to try to unlock the door again or to jalan saja? I tried to unlock the door again but failed miserably when I decided to call the husband.
He pretty much didn’t believe I forgot the combination, particularly since I’ve been staying at the in-laws every weekend since we got married. I told him the combination I tried, which was 2XXX2XXX. He said to me, ‘no, its XXXXXX’.
So yes pretty people, ku buatkan combination pintu macam extension telephone opis ku- i added a 2 in front of it.
Oh, if you were wondering if I called the IT Helpdesk to report about my phone malfunctioning- I didn’t. One of my colleagues reminded me of it. Thank God, I didn’t as well. I am popular with a few of them in the IT department. I once called them to report that my email system has gone bonkers and I have lost all of my emails, i.e. empty inbox. Turned out I ter-pressed ‘end’ and it took me to the end of the page, where it was all blank.
At least, I’m networking. Haha. Although, at the expense of being called a bimbo in the IT department.
Pain.
I am tired and in pain.
Tons of work to finish before I go on leave, which needs to be completed tomorrow. I hate office politics.
Saturday will be too busy to complete real work as it will be Government Payday.
Word of advice: Try to come in on Friday instead of Saturday to do any of your banking transactions. Queues will be horrible on Saturday, I can guarantee you and we are not extending our banking hours (Thank God!) unless of course, they change their mind tomorrow. We haven’t even ran out of green packets and biscuits yet! Hehe.
Of course, if you want to deposit cash, cheque, pay your credit card or withdraw money for your use, might as well do it after hours through our Express Banking Centre instead doing it over the counter- will save you more time!
I will do a proper post just before Eid, insya Allah.
Last Week of Ramadhan
I admit I can be a slack. Hehe. Earlier today I told the husband that I wanted to meet up some friends at 8. He gave me a look and said, ‘indatah you terawikh tu?’.
I only managed to giggle and mumbled something along the line of ‘di rumah.. 8 rakaat..’ and nope, no response.
On the way to the mosque, he said to me, ‘last tah minggu ani terawikh ni.. malam ani last tah terawikh di sini ni..’ Tomorrow will be terawikh at our place and the weekend will be at the Jerudong mosque. In other words, ‘it’s the last week of Ramadhan and you want to miss terawikh…’
Yesh, I can be a slack :p (Boys & Girls, apologies for not turning up tonight. Insya Allah, I will make it for GI Jim’s birthday dinner, as long as its after Ramadhan. Lots of love.)
Besides that, work during the last week of Ramadhan is always hectic. This year the Management gave all staff Hari Raya cookies! It is so cuteee but not as cute as the Hari Raya Biscuits for our customers. Lagi cuteee and ada cornflakes biscuits. Heh. Today the Management was seen giving out these biscuits to our customers at the banking hall.
And oh, have you seen our Green Packets? It’s pretty!! Banar. Hehe. It’s like Paul Smith beraya. You’ll understand what I mean when you see it
I said work is hectic but yet I sound so cheerful. Hehe. It is only hectic because my leave for next week has been approved
and oh, I have not finished signing Hari Raya cards to be sent out to our clients (Our Hari Raya card is also pretty!)
This is pretty much a nonsensical post. Actually, no. This post is telling you guys that we have pretty green packets. Hehe. And also that if you come to any of our branches, you will get a cute box of Hari Raya biscuits
Tahini Sauce
I like to order a lamb kebab please- no onions, just a little bit of lettuce and tomatoes, some chilli sauce and lots of tahini.
I was craving for a kebab this afternoon, not the pita kebab- a real kebab. However, the husband had to go to the kubur for tahlil and said we could go look for it in the evening. After terawih, my sister in law wanted to get food from KFC so I went with her.
Frust ku. Casbah tutup di Sengkurong. My little brother told me it was already opened. The husband said maybe ia buka siang saja?
I was craving for the tahini sauce more than anything else (now don’t go have funny ideas. seriously.) but does Casbah have tahini sauce with their kebabs? I don’t remember when was the last time I had kebabs from Casbah. Probably few months ago, atupun I ate some of my brother’s kebab.
Ooh. I just found the recipe for tahini sauce. I am going to and jot it down now and if I do get around to make it (haha!), I will let you know. Kalau ku diam2, ertinya I never got around to make it or if I did, inda nyaman. Hehehe.
G’nite pretty people. Do make full use of the last week of Ramadhan. Lots of love.
A Trip to the Land Transport Department
Under normal circumstances, I would be at work till half 12 today, followed by lunch with my boys & girls and then some window shopping before heading home for a little nap before the husband comes back from work.
Today, I took the day off (again!) and ran some errands, which included renewing my driver’s license (which expired back in July! Haha!), collecting my wedding photos and sending them for framing and collecting something I sent to the printers last week. I did manage a detour to my usual tudung shop at Batu Satu for a little shopping.
Anyways, doing all that seems easy but you’re wrong. Yet again, I managed to embarass myself. I was at the Land Transport Department between 10 – 1030 this morning. I went to the reception to ask for a queue ticket and went to the hall to wait. There were at least 25 numbers before it would be my turn and I cursed myself for forgetting to bring a book with me. However, I was very impressed with the service. Cepat. There were about 6 counters opened kali tu. Although there were few people who just jumped the queue. Maybe diurang ani hari-hari ke sana.
So how did I embarass myself? When my number was called, I proceed to the counter and….
Me: Kan membaharui lesen
Lady: Expire sudah?
Me: Awu, bulan tujuh sudah.
Lady: *smirk* Borang mana?
Me: Borang apa?
Lady: Alum mengisi borang?
Me: Nada kana bagi borang
Lady: Aga ambil borang arah operator di luar. Lapas atu jangantah ambil numbur. Tarus saja ke mari.
Lady in the next counter: Ah. alum ada borang? Aga ambil di luar.
Ai. penyibuk orang sebalahnya ah. Is it my fault aku inda tahu mesti ambil borang dulu? Okay, so it did cross my mind but I couldn’t find it masa ambil numbur.
And and and how the hell do I know siapa operator ani???? So I went to the receptionist tempat mengambil numbur atu and asked for ‘borang membaharui lesen’. She looked at me semacam (because I asked from her numbur earlier) and just pointed to a tabletop yang panuh dengan orang mengisi borang.
Again, is it my fault I cannot find the borangs? Eeeeee.
Babu did laugh at me when I told her of the incident over the phone.
When I went back to the lady with an almost complete form…
Lady: Alum komplit ni (pointing at a missing field)
Me: Iatah. Yang mana kan numbur bill lesen ani? (There were 2 sets of numbers on the driver’s license)
Lady: *smirk* Yang panjang ani. Cuba kita tulis.
Eeeeeee. Jadinya its my fault I don’t know which one is the bill no? Pikir numbur bill/ receipt sudah membayarkah. Serial number kah apakah.
Akutah yang inda pandai membaharui lesen. Mun setahun sekali atau 3 tahun sekali- lupa jua tu!
My question is: Kenapa nama anaknya SIti Nurhaliza?
Kidding, kidding.
My real question is: Kenapa driver’s license tani bida, kratas and nada gambar?
multiply.com
I was invited to be part of the multiply community ages ago but inda pandai masuk. haha. then many, many weeks ago mamalobengs & moni (nda ku ingat siapa dulu. hehe.) suruh check out their pictures (majal ni diurang ani- hi guys! hehe). skali somehow, i’ve been getting emails ‘what you’ve missed’ from multiply. okay, maybe i received it before but selalu delete without reading. hehe.
now, i frequent the website but mostly through the links from the email. of course, the bangang me was ’siapakan diurang ani? eh. are they on my contacts?’. rupanya, updates from orang lain punya contacts pun masuk.
anyways, the point of my post is- i think multiply is shiuk-er than friendster. not that i’m a die-hard fan of friendster except that i get to find old friends and get in touch with them. multiply on the other hand, banyak sharing! music lah (legal kah ni? sudah atu berpikir. ia jua mendownload grey’s), articles lah, gambar lah. i mean, this people posting it up to share with everyone kan?
so yes. atulah saja the point of my post. i’m on my off days. as in working off not off off day. i had training this morning and just couldn’t be bothered to go back to work for few hours. although, i have to attend a presentation at 5 later, followed by sungkai at sheraton. this is my first sungkai out this month. am not really a fan of sungkai out pasal selalu bergeragas kan balik and hence, i won’t be able to enjoy my food. but considering that the presentation will only end at 6 later, there is no way i can reach home in time for sungkai. moreover, the sungkai is being paid for. heh.
tomorrow i have to run some errands, including renewing something that expired back in July. heh. i remembered then but lupa lapas atu. haha. i only realised again 3 weeks back but no masa one to go renew. so, shhhh.
