11/74 Sir Fred

Yesterday Spikez told me that my old place in Brisbane is up for rent and last night he sent me the url. Excited much. Hence, I am going to share with you all how my old casa looked like.

Welcome to Unit 11, 74, Sir Fred Schonell Drive. To your immediate right (the house’s left), is where a Middle Eastern girl used to live- alone! She’s this very pretty girl who was doing her post-grad in Psych or something along those lines. She is so pretty that a certain neighbour of mine would get tongue-tied everytime he bumped into her. Huhuhu. On your left, is where she used to live! Spikez & Inoe used to live at Unit 7 and Faez used to live at Unit 9. Yes, it was a little Brunei kampung and I loved it!

This was my living room. If you look closer, you will see that one of the arms (no actually an arm of each sofa) has a tear on them. Haha. This was the result of us lying down on the couch and putting our feet on the arms. Oppps! Well, it wasn’t really our fault, the material was thin from time. This is where my friends & I tend to spend our time most, including the dining table lah tu.. and kitchen. Haha. I would watch Sex and the City with breakfast and study my ass off on the dining table with the tv on! Okay, that’s a lie. I could hardly study when I was down there. Haha. More like stuff my face ada pulang.

Speaking of stuffing my face, look- this was my kitchen!

Oh, look! Ada the tray that my babu bought for me when i first moved in. The one on top of the oven. Yes, the yellow plastic one. Its a condiments tray. Not really. I actually made it into a condiments tray. Haha. I miss this place more now. I love having my own kitchen. Not having to share it with anyone. When my brother was still there, we used to fight on where to keep things. Plus he was not happy when I decided to buy a white with pink flowers dining set. Hehe.

This, on the other hand, was the laundry room plus guest toilet. We hardly used the guest toilet as there were no taps inside, hence, berbaldi sama gayung saja. Hahaha. I hope that toilet paper was not from our time because I remember that we only used those kind of toilet paper. Hehehe.

And this, friends, was my rooooommm!!

The doors on the right of the photo goes out to a little balcony looking over the tiny backyard and my neighbour’s driveway. I used to have a study table at the end of my bed, although a plasma tv would look good there too. I remember how I used to crawl out of bed in the middle of the night to switch on my computer because my ex-boyfriend (now husband!) texted me that he was online. This was during the courting time as we would only either texted or chatted. Haha. Kalau sudah dapat, inda tia kali sanggup tengah malam bangun.. kan switch on computer tah lagi.. Hehehe. Nada bah babe, love you!! Hehehe. (takut ni)

And this is the backyard I was mentioning earlier. Its a bad photo though. You can hardly see anything. I was trying to find the pumpkin my aunt planted. I remember I said something about this pumpkin plant that made everyone laughed AT me but I guess my memory has chosen not to remember what it was. Haha. Must’ve been embarassing.

So yes, that was my house for 18 months. It has many good and bad memories. Perhaps, even more than when I used to stay at the big blue house. But I love it to bits and have told the husband that I want a house like this, which is why i have my eyes on a certain house along the Jangsak road. This is probably too small for a Bruneian house but hey, husband, if we have a house like this, we don’t have to get a full-time maid, I can work, look after the family and clean the house.

Hehehe. Actually, liatlah cmana. Maybe pinjam babu or mummy’s maids? :p

metallichick- it was very homey indeed! used to have blankets in the living room for cold nights too! and the kitchen was almost complete that i actually enjoyed cooking *horror*. Hahaha. although, i prefer to eat at my neighbours’ place as cooking for one can at time be tedious. hehehe.
